Khama Rhino Sanctuary

The Khama Rhino Sanctuary protects about forty white rhinos and a few black rhinos. Often, in such places, it is quite difficult to see rhinoceros unless one is accompanied by a ranger and tracking them on foot. I was greatly surprised to discover that it is easy to see rhinos.

At the beginning of the day, I saw 'only' three rhinos, but in the afternoon, the rhinos converged toward one of the waterholes in the sanctuary and the show is impressive. At one time, when I was looking around, I was counting more than 25 rhinos at the same time.

I didn't have the chance to see black rhinos. These animals are much more aggressive and timid than the white rhinos. There are also several other species of African animals.

It is possible to see other species in the sanctuary... But who cares, I am going to show photos about rhino only.

On this panorama, there are 11 white rhinoceros. There were a few more individuals on the right of the waterhole (outside the photo).
