Planet Baobab

Planet Baobab - Gweta - Botswana

Sometimes, we discover a nice place where service is excellent and the place itself is very appealing. In Africa, it is sometimes difficult to get good service at a decent price, thus I present you one such place.

On the road, before reaching Planet Baobab, it is possible to see this giant aardvark statue. Thereafter, we notice that the place is aptly named and that magnificent baobabs are all around the site.

Campsites are well designed and all the site, restaurant, and bar are very pleasant.

Old Palapye (Phalatswe)

Old Palapye (Phalatswe) - Botswana

Old Palapye is not a famous site, but since it is not about a game park, I thought it could be interesting.

There is not much left of most of the ruins, but the 'London Mission Society' church is still quite nice. This church was built in 1898 by missionaries. Nowadays, only two tall walls are still visible.
