Kampala - The capital

Kampala - Uganda

Kampala is a capital with more than 1.7 million inhabitants. Like many big cities in developing countries, Kampala swims in a chaotic and polluted sea. During our only day walking around the downtown area, we visited everything we wanted to see... i.e., not much!

At the end of the day, we had a sore throat and eyes because of all the omnipresent smog we breathed. Melanie walked around with a scarf on her mouth most of the day. She looked like a highwayman, but she was less sore than I was.
