Bonito - Mato Grosso do Sul
Rio da Prata
Around the small town of Bonito, you can explore streams and rivers teeming with all kinds of fish. You can swim or snorkel there and feel like you're in an aquarium. The sites are on private farms and can only be accessed with a guided tour.
I don't have any underwater photography equipment, so I only bought a few photos to give you an idea of how beautiful the place is.
The first three photos were taken in a small stream that flows into the Rio da Prata. This stream emerges from underground springs and is crystal clear. We let ourselves drift down the current for 1-2 km while admiring the scenery and the fish.
Rio Formoso
The campsite where I pitched my tent offers access to the Formoso River, where you can spend hours swimming alongside fish.
Bonito
If there's one thing that's the same everywhere in South America, it's small motorcycle garages. In Bonito, I had a regular oil change done.
