The Dakhata Valley is nicknamed the Valley of Wonders due to some peculiar rock formations offering nice scenery.
This valley of about 12 km is on the road going to Somalia. There are many police checkpoint because of the never-ending troubles in the country. Nevertheless, it is a worthwhile detour not very far from Harar.
The valley is filled with these rocks that seem to have been setup by giants.
The road itself is not very nice.
Along the valley, there are very simple houses.
