Lamanai and Altun Ha
Lamanai was occupied as early as 1500 BC, and it was a very important ceremonial centre. Its peak seems to have been from 200 to 100 BC, and its main structures were built from them on until 700 AD. Additions and changes were made until the 15th century, and the town had an estimated population of 35,000.
The peak of Altun Ha was around 250 to 1000 AD. Altun Ha was a rich trading and agricultural town with a population between 8,000 and 10,000.
