Villa Vil is a small village of about 500 people in the province of Catamarca. It is the ideal base for a trek to see Los Castillos, a spectacular rock formation carved by the water of the Pedregal River and the wind.
With the motorbike, it is possible to drive a trail to the start of the hike. From that point, one can walk a loop of about 7 km where each kilometre offers some magnificent scenery.
Here is the rock formation called Los Castillos due to its similarity to the wall with a medieval castle.
A good imagination is needed to see the castle, but who cares, it is so beautiful.
